Fortunately, you get to work alongside your best friend, Dimitri. Unfortunately, Dimitri is leaving town at the end of the summer… and you’re not.

Zi is a director and animator who doesn’t play games, but loves telling weird stories. She is the most comfortable writing silly cartoon comedy, like in her Youtube series Ramshackle. However, Zi doesn’t enjoy being too comfortable, so she decided to torture herself by creating a series that is centered around coming-of-age drama and surrealism–hence Pine Point.
Pine Point: Insomniac came into existence after realizing that another animated episode would probably shave years off of Zi’s lifespan, so a visual novel was the next best thing. This game serves as a short proof-of-concept for the Pine Point project.

I recently played Pine Point Insomniac, and I found it very intriguing and emotionally engaging.
I’d love to know if a French translation is planned or could be considered. The story seems deep and powerful, but I’m having trouble fully understanding everything due to the language.
Even a basic translation would help many players like me appreciate the game even more. Thank you for your time and for creating such a special experience!

this. game. is. AMAZING. will replay this at least 20 more times lol. this game is weirdly nostalgic, and it honestly made me cry because of how... safe it felt, ig, which is even weirder cuz I hate crying. this game has amazing music, the characters are realistic and so is the story ((in a good way) and realistic for the most part, I still can't get over the snailman and slime frog stuff lmao,) and I love pretty much every other thing about this game. I think. P.S. zeddy pls make more of this game pls, I will give u my life savings....

this game was amazing!! I love the artstyle and the colours, the way it was layed out was great. I will defo play this again even tho I've got all the endings, my fav ending was were nil slept on Dimitri's bed, loved it sm!! (also I loved ramshackle!!)

i think Zi haves a big potential for making short animated films.
her art style, the game ui, the soundtrack, it all feels so artistic in some way. (emphasizing on the artstyle). i feel like that if she tries to portray any kind of emotion in a saf (short animated film for short) with good sounds/soundtrack or anything, she would really do it well. i dont know if im making myself understandable 😞, and i dont know if the creator knows how to animate or haves knowledge in any of these fields, but i just really thought that the art style is really good and would look perfect in that concept. i hope i dont sound rude or bad in any way, its just compliments on the artstyle. love this game! =D
She has a YouTube channel where she posts animations, and she has an animated show called Ramshackle. Theres a thesis film of it and a pilot episode right now. I would recommend checking it out.

I loved this game, as someone whos about to go off to college and lives in a small town this hit incredibly close to home, the delirious feeling of a gross 9-5, the way all the art and text made it feel like a cloudy summer filled with bug sounds, I loved it!! Absolutely amazing!!!

I just finished this. I'm crying, it really got to me. It's very familiar, nostalgic and warm. It's a lot like Night in the Woods mixed with Life is Strange, but it's definitely also its own special thing. I love it.

Damn this game made me feel so many things in such a small amount of time. I fell in love with uncanny visual novels after playing the games of Racheldrawsthis, and a viewer suggested that I should try this out. I was not disappointed at all.
The very cool character designs, the beautiful bg scores and the very eerie lil guy created a cozy yet very uncomfortable atmosphere, and the endings fit perfectly to it.
